Women’s Empowerment Club at MCV

National Exam Results for the participants in the Women’s Empowerment Club at MCV were just reported and they are excellent! MCV is so proud of these strong young women!

The WE Club (Women’s Empowerment) was started in 2013 with the main goal to empower young girls in school to succeed in their education and open up possibilities for careers outside the home. The WE Club started with extra tutoring support, funding for extra books and supplies. Over the last 11 years, it has expanded to include an impressive mentorship program, sanitary pad program, health and sex education classes, early exposure to science careers, and even a ‘women in sports’ day to encourage school athletics!

The entire program was started and continues to evolve based on the requests on these amazing young women.
