Welcome Karan Savjani
The MCV Board of Directors in Malawi officially welcomed new board member Karan Savjani at their September meeting.
Karan grew up in Malawi until he was 11 and then went to England for school and university. He practiced as a Criminal Barrister for eight years before returning to Malawi in 2008. Karan now works in the insurance business and has various other interests. He is actively involved in Rotary and also serves on the board of Samaritan Trust and a school and club in Limbe. He is married with one son.
Karan joins the board following the recent departure of Sam Tembenu who left the MCV board after recently being appointed Minister of Justice by Malawian President Peter Mutharika. We’d like to thank Samuel Tembenu for his service and congratulate him on his recent appointment as Minister of Justice.
