The first graduation class of Gracious Secondary school have just received the results of the National Graduation exam. The scores determine who will go to college and maybe even receive sponsorship from the government. The results are excellent.
Ninety six percent of the students passed. This was the second highest pass rate in the school district which consists of 10 secondary schools. Also one of the students had the second highest score for the whole district. Once the national scores are ranked, a number of our students will have passed with distinction which means they will receive government assistance for college.
Ten of the top students in the current senior class are sponsored orphans who will do well on the national exams.
We now have orphan graduates who have had post secondary education working as teachers, clinical officers, agricultural specialists. All would not have had this opportunity if Malawi Children’s Village had not been in existence.
